What an amazing place. If you’re looking for a coffee shop/bookstore don’t come here. But if you’re wanting to find that hidden classic or obscure book, this is the place! Carl knows his stuff and is great to work with. Very much worth a visit!

This is a hidden gem that I’m so lucky to have found. Don’t be fooled by the self storage, you’re in the right location. This place has books literally to the ceiling, step stools and ladders to use, several different rooms and very big section of books.

Incredible bookshop with an impressive collection of used books. Floor to ceiling bookshelves. Well organized. Don't let the outside deceive you as the signs are faded. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This bookstore is the best! We go here at least once a week. The hidden gem of redding! The most stunning layout and art everywhere. We always see something new we missed before. I adore the owner he has the best personality plays the best music and let's us take our time and enjoy the atmosphere.

Hands down the best place in Redding. If you are a book lover from anywhere in the world this is the type of place that belongs on your list. While I do love that it still has that hidden gem quality, Cal's books deserves to have a line out the door!

Cal's is the best bookstore in town, seriously, I love going here and I never leave empty handed. You can also sell books to the store which reduces waste.
